Today I tried to reload Serve using AAA Visa giftcard as well as VGC at both Family Dollar and Dollar General and was declined multiple times at both stores. I called AmEx and they said that they had no record that my card was tried or declined. AmEx said that this is likely the result of a bad strip on my card. Does this sound like the correct explanation? Anyone had this happen to them?

see if you can load online and IF it goes through, your account is still active. if you get the message that you can't load anymore, you can't load VGCs to your card anywhere.
