Sadly I'm not too surprised by the treatment of the OP. BA F is substandard by all accounts (well, the champagne is good, but that's about it). My last F trip was on Etihad and it is hard to even compare the two.
On BA you feel like you are in the way of the crew and food isn't all that great. On EY it is all about you. Crew asks you when you want to have your meals and are in general very helpful.

Off topic for sure but this is rather concerning, obviously not UK registered carriers, as the CAA is quite clear on this, accidents and go-arounds have happened as a result of this.
Can you please provide a reference to such an incident? I'm very much interested in reading a report that shows this.
