Completely agree with you! One person's [edited by Moderator] opinion does not make for United's policy.

I have been, and will continue to (in fact, I will make it a point from now on) to offer my complimentary 1K meals & drinks to my seatmates if I don't feel like having them myself. It's MY benefit and I can choose how I want to use it!
