I highly doubt AAs systems are good enough to tie the voucher to the reservation and acceptance of the rebooking...and even if so, I'd be (somewhat) surprised if there were any conditions published with the voucher that require travel to continue with AA. The voucher is essentially duty of care for cancelling the fight late at night when there were no other options.
