Only time I've ever heard of anybody using unusual things from the GA is to buy food vouchers. On WJ flights, you need a CC to buy food or drink, so you can pay cash at the gate and get vouchers.

I was impressed when my flight was delayed coming into Calgary. The GA came to my group and said, "I'll do whatever it takes to get you home tonight.". We were headed home from Calgary by private car, but she said that she wasn't going home till we were.
