JAL has a London crew base, and it is probably 50/50 male/female, or even more in favour of males. Meaning that it is quite common to have male flight attendants. And so does ANA.
Whether he had one shot or one bottle of alcohol, or even no alcohol, is neither here nor there. Fact is his behaviour, and the crew's ability to handle it. The KE crew failed in this specific case, whether that is a trend or an exception is difficult to say.
I generally don't believe in legislating based on one case's lowest denominator. So I don't believe new rules should necessarily be put in place based on this, and certainly not on airlines that have not shown any failures in the handling so far.
