Oh dear, had a slight DYKWIA moment myself yesterday

I had just boarded BA747 at SVG for the start of my current trip and was sat in 10F. A young couple came and sat in D/E. On impulse, I asked if either of them would like the window seat. They didn't, thanked me anyway and so far, so civilized...

Without thinking, I then said "It's just that I fly all the time..." No sooner were the words out of my mouth that I thought "What do you sound like ? Prat !!!" To their credit, they were able to manage polite smiles before continuing their own conversation.

Of course, as fate would have it, the CSM then chose that precise moment to pitch up and give me an effusive personalised welcome on board !!
