I was so excited, as I got MVPGOLD 75k status yesterday with 93000 miles. Up to four years ago I was gold with UA while living in SF.

Since I moved to Oregon, I switched to AS and was gold all the time. This year, I flew mostly business class to Europe several times a year, I Was able to get 75k.

I am really exited about it. It does leave a bitter taste in mouth for losing delta as I just did several delta one trips in the states. It will be difficult to reddem miles for european travel, but based on random searches, Asia will be ok.

I hope they ramp up their miles redemption with some other carrier, if possible from *A group.
