I'm telling the honest truth. I have the receipt to prove it. Of course, I put it on my DL Amex card, so at least I'll get 500 Skymiles. I did not ask for a coach meal, I just asked whether there was a choice aside from eggs. The flight attendant said "you can buy a meal from coach"; when I asked what was offered, she brought me a coach menu.

I know that the probably don't want the first class passengers taking the food from coach all the time, thus making it less predictable how much to stock, but it is a little crazy to only have a single choice in first class and 3 choices in coach. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it would cost more to put two choices in first.

I would have just done without, except that the SAN-ATL flight was scheduled for 4 hours and 10 minutes, I had a 40 minute connection onto an hour and a half segment, so I knew that I probably wouldn't have time to get something to eat in ATL.

And if fact, I would not have had time to eat because the SAN-ATL segment arrived 15 minutes late and I barely made it to the connection. And my bag DIDN'T make the connection. I'm sitting at home now waiting for DL to deliver it.
