"As the newest addition to the scenic Houston skyline, Marriott Marquis Houston captures the bold spirit of Texas while embracing the best of Southern hospitality. Enjoy quick access to George R. Brown Convention Center via our sky bridge; then make memories at nearby attractions including Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center and BBVA Compass Stadium.
Float around our Texas-shaped lazy river, enjoy a cocktail at High Dive bar, or make a splash in the heated infinity pool - all on our rooftop overlooking Discovery Green Park. The hotel also features Pure our full-service spa, a 24-hour fitness center, two-story Biggio's Sports Bar, Walker Street Kitchen, Xochi by Chef Hugo Ortega, Cueva wine bar and Texas T cafe."
I called from my home phone to the property & was greeted by name, so their phone system must have a way of connecting (pun intended!) phone # w/ name of caller when they pick up the phone. My phone # is listed, so they might have to do a generic greeting on someone w/ an unlisted phone #.
Some of the room types listed have lazy river views and park views.
The property is currently in a soft opening. "The hotel will have some of the city's most highly-anticipated new restaurants, including the Biggio's sports bar and Hugo Ortega's newest concept, Xochi, which focuses on the food and drink of Oaxaca, Mexico. While Xochi won't open until January, Biggio's and other hotel restaurants - the coastal casual Walker Street Kitchen, Cueva bar and Texas T cafe -will open with the hotel on Dec. 26."
It's also Super Bowl HQ/main hotel for this year's Super Bowl.
Cheers.
