That's what happened to me.
Neither my husband nor I got our bonus mile for accounts that were opened in December. Citibank told me I would have to go through AA, so I did, and almost all the miles have been credited (they forgot the extra 250 for online appliciation, so I'll have to make another call.)
My husbands have posted to his AA account, and I assume mine will show up during my next billing cycle.
