On the KUL-SIN vv run, flights operated by Singapore Airlines, Silkair and Malaysia Airlines are all codeshared by each other. (I think it's a remnant of the KUL-SIN shuttle deal which started in 1982 and ended in 2008). So it is entirely possible to book a MH-coded flight on MI and on SQ on this particular route.

But since we might be talking about separate tickets, and OP hasn't made it clear whether he's flying on QF or MH on SYD-KUL (not sure on what QF's policy is on separate-tix interlining, but MH should be better on interlining comparatively especially to other MH flights), I'm not even confident if OP has even the chance or time to use the lounge.
