This is a great thread!

So a left-handed person (me!) should sit on the right side of the plane, aisle seat, or middle section, left side? Crazy that I've never thought of this before. But interesting that I normally book on the right side (aisle seat) of the plane, without ever thinking about why.

I've never thought about advantages to sitting in the middle section before, always thinking, for reasons unknown, that the outward sections would be better. They (windowed section) still may have an advantage if I'm traveling with others, especially if they're able to actually sleep on a plane (I don't).

Great thread. I just learned something I hadn't given thought to before! Especially if I ever have to book a middle seat on a widebody... a middle center is clearly preferable to a middle outlying. Truth be told it's not too likely a scenario for me to be in though; few widebodies with center sections domestically, and I would literally spend my way out of a middle seat on a long flight. Or rearrange my life to take a different flight. First world solution to a first world problem.
