I almost always go for the center section on a widebody. On all my 767 flights this year, I've lucked out with an empty middle in E+. On almost all of my 777 flights, I've been in a section with a couple traveling together, so the person in the middle exclusively has used the other aisle (and has left me more shoulder space towards the middle).
