We did LHR-SIN-SYD and back (all non-stop) in F last year when our son was 9 months old. He behaved well and everyone seemed pretty welcoming. As others have said, it's public transport so one cannot expect no kids. Equally I think parents have a responsibility to try to manage their kids' behaviour.
