If I buy a ticket from HEL-ARN and a separate tixket from ARN-IAH-HNL my travel still starts from my home country so insurance should be valid...

I have made several successful claims with AX insurance on trips like these...

But indeed it is allways good to read terms carefully as these days they are strict to follow the small print everywhere...

I am still amazed that AY DC does NOT come with insurance
