I booked on an A321 YYZ-LAX flight today and rows 14 and 15 were definitely not Preferred. Rows 16 and 17 were; I booked into Row 13 which was, along with Row 12.
(Just the one seat for me, the other for Mrs Haz, no armrest removal.)
