I crossed the million mile mark somewhere over Greenland on CDG-EWR on the 23rd. Economy was overbooked with non-elites and biz was all but empty so we got a welcome upgrade for the occasion. This comes none-to-soon as I will most likely be booking basic economy in the future. Not that the status will help all the much. Alas.
