Hello All- Inexpensive Father and Son trip to Athens.

LX1838 ZRH-ATH arrive 4:40pm
Bulk tickets on 016 stock but Swiss has different confirmation number.

At check-in last night offered $300 a seat for a later flight. No good flights later but we would be willing to take an hour earlier flight.

UA989 IAD-FRA 5:25pm
UA9039 FRA-ATH 5pm

Should we consider going to the airport early to do this? The new flight leaves at 5:25pm and our org. flight departs at 6:45--would the gate even be open? We don't mind the gamble we can hang out in the lounge if it doesn't work out.
