Made it to 1MM earlier this month. I didn't feel like it was worth a huge effort but the impending threshold did encourage me to nudge toward booking on United Airlines whenever possible during the last year or two. Now I have been granted a wonderful freedom: I no longer need to nudge toward booking on United Airlines on an annual basis to earn Silver (which doesn't get much but is better than nothing) and I can look forward to reasonable status when redeeming the large stock of RDMs I have.
