I do not see an option to download PDF from American Airlines.
So the PDF creation problem you are having seems to be local to your computer. You would probably get the same error when trying to convert any other email to PDF.
If you use Adobe Acrobat, than to create PDF you just print, and select "Adobe PDF" as the printer. But as ijgordon already mentioned, there are many ways to create PDFs.
