Has anyone else had problems getting Citibank to post the bonus miles (7,500 in my case) for opening a new AAdvantage Mastercard account?

I opened the account back in January and called today because the miles haven't posted yet. The Citibank customer service agent said he had no record that I was owed any kind of bonus miles, and acted shocked that I would even make such a claim, as if he had never heard of bonus miles even being offered. This struck me as odd, since I have never even seen the card advertised WITHOUT an offer of bonus miles. He said they would look into it and get back to me, but it left me feeling frustrated as he acted like I was trying to scam them out of miles. I called AAdvantage customer service and the agent said that this happened quite often, but that there was nothing she could do about it.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if so, how it was resolved.
