I liked the all first class F100s American flew to Dallas-Love. (Those were set up to try to drive Legend Airlines out of business, and it worked.)
Basically American would sell you a seat if you paid Y, although occasionally there were some sub-Y fares. You could fly to New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles out of Love. Each one had 56 seats, all first class, to comply with the @#$*! Wright Amendment.
Anyone know when these flights ended? I kind of missed that news. I flew DAL-ORD a few times.
By the way, the Fokker 100 may be coming back into production. (See
http://www.rekkof.nl/) It's a great airplane -- AA's ratty interiors notwithstanding. There's also a Fokker 70. If put back into production, the Fokker 70 would be the only currently produced jet airliner capable of operations at London City (LCY). And that's important.
