I am flying today on AC1318 YYC-YHZ (stop in YYZ). Final desintation: YQY on AC8816. Things are already looking at going sideways as snow is starting to fall here in YYC and the flight is already listed by AC as delayed. I am upgraded to J and I am E75K. What can I do to protect myself in case I don't make AC8816? How can I ensure I am on the first flight out the next day and not bumped to December 25, thus getting home late on Christmas Day?

I fly a lot with AC but don't have a lot of experience dealing with challenges like this. Appreciate any and all advice...Merry Christmas!
