Completely reactive in terms of flying to Fort Lauderdale or Oakland, but it seems they also want to start flights to Latin America to get there ahead of Norwegian.

Air Europa already has a capacity of about 50% of Iberia's in Spain-Latin America (and more than IB in flights to the Caribbean), up from just 25% a few years ago, before IB had to cut back. I'm sure IAG do not want more competition there.
