If you are Wife + Kid in J, you in (PE)Y, that's fine
If it is Wife + You in J, Kid in (PE)Y that's not fine
If Wife + Kid in J, you in J for takeoff/landing, I don't think its fine (strictly under the rules - but sometimes they let you sit in J for takeoff/landing at the discretion of the ISM)
