It raises an interesting question though: is it possible to book a more expensive, slightly more flexible I fare by looking them up on EF and then specifying to BA the precise I fare basis you want, rather than requesting R/D etc?

I suspect this could technically be done in Amadeus, but does it require manual pricing or would the BA call centre be able to do it?
