Priority Boarding - sharing my experience

Earlier today our flight was delayed a few hours (LHR-WAW).

BA's (new) boarding process then consisted of allowing anyone to board who had kids, while at the same time doing all that they could to embarrass any business or frequent flyers travelling by insisting that anyone with a kid under 18 can board first and being fairly rude to their most loyal travellers. And even insisting that they get out of the entrance to the priority lane!

I suggest BA remove the priority board and add that "anyone travelling with anyone under 18 can board as priority" as this is what today's experience amounted to. Just a piece of laminate at the top would help to avoid such embarrassment in future...

BA's business passengers and Gold elites then boarded at number 40 or 45th place.

Of course once on the plane ground crew then decided to remove the wheelchair from the back of the plane while people were boarding, which meant people then had to get back off the plane.

So BA did a good job today at looking amateurish and not much else.

I feel it isn't a good time to be a frequent traveller with them. More than enough staff and space to take control of the situation, but appeared poorly trained and unable to deal with the situation - the vague announcement meant anyone just started boarding, including those without kids, once people had processed the absurdity of the announcement.
