Caution while transferring SPG point - Possible account lock?
Hi,

I want to transfer some of my SPG points to AS via VX as there's this new opportunity of extra miles. I want to redeem them for an award ticket with JAL and CX for an intra asia trip.

Now, I have read too many posts here about accounts being locked and miles forfeited for not using FF miles as one "should". There's one event of someone coming to airport only to find out his account locked and award ticket (with EK) cancelled. I am going to redeem the award tickets for me+1, so there should not be any question of mileage brokering right? Also I do not belong to a market where AS operates and do not even have an FF account with them as of now. Should I be worried?
