Shipping small package international from Japan using couriers will be very expensive compere with postal service. Every time I shipped items from Japan to the U.S. never ended up using couriers due to cost and ended up using the postal service.

Courier service for shipping domestic within Japan is very convenient from both cost and delivery time perspective. However, for international shipment of small package originating from Japan I found courier service to be cost high compare with postal service.
