Quickest way if you can't transfer points is find the closest and cheapest hotel to you, select the 1000 bonus points option, check in then check out the next day as normal.
I'm in luck where I am as I'm not far from Gatwick airport. Some of their hotel nights can be as low as £35 some days of the year. Useful for hitting some Accelerate goals if the rewards and worthwhile enough. It's really sad but sometimes it's nice to just have a random night somewhere for no reason!
