I'm not sure how to tell, but I don't see any indications it is AWD. It is a 2017 V6 and seems heavy enough to me to drive in snow with 2WD.
But to your point, I've learned long ago that you cannot count on anything specific when renting, especially at airports. And more so at major airports. These guys are juggling so many cars and reservations that they simply cannot guarantee a specific reservation type. Even as a Platinum member, specific reservations don't work for me at big airport locations. I think the marketing people try to make it seem like you can get what you want, but the service delivery side of the house cannot always deliver to exact specifications.
