As the FCL E is much better than A, the best approach to get plenty time there will be directly head there yourself by using the Heidi train. Passport control, especially for CH / EWR / EU passport holders is hardly ever taking more than a minute. Train is fast, if not faster than car transit (which you'll have to wait for in the FCL A, and probably share with others..)
