Impressively and wonderfully done. While we've not stayed recently at Auberge (they don't allow dogs, sadly), this is another example of why they have such an incredible service reputation.

As indicated above, Jim and I will be at Auberge du Soleil five days over Christmas arriving the 22nd. Arrangements made several months ago. I had an especially helpful email exchange early on with the concierge team regarding tarting up our suite for xmas with tree, ornaments, flowers, etc. They responded with enthusiasiam indicating my budget was generous and they would work wonders.
I emailed today to confirm arrangements; response posted below. This is the perfect follow up and with the grace and favor I appreciate.

The drought in California has mainly made it very difficult for us to find a fir tree at this point in the season, and we couldn't have gone shopping too early in the season because it'd have dried up.
We will have a wonderful artificial decorated tree that we will be placed in your lovely room. It'll be decorated by our florist Tesoro (beautiful!).
We would have the florist delivering some beautiful arrangements with scented candles, potpourri, etc to bring the holiday fragrance.
We are including some holiday treats in your room too. It'll be very special.
I've copied my colleague Jeff Hook (guest services) as well as Molly (concierge) for anything else we may be able to assist you prior to your arrival and to reconfirm your Christmas dinner with us.
I'm out of the office starting tomorrow for the holidays and will not be having much email access.
