DL's comfort+ seats are considered as premium economy, fare class W, and KE was not able to see nor book those. I've been moving all of my CSP points to the CSR (1.25 vs 1.5 respectively). So I went thru Chase's travel 800# and was able to book the Comfort+ seats for 82,458 UR points. On the DL side, it shows as a revenue booking for $1236.90 so I am also going to be able to collect the miles in my DL FF account as well.

We'll see how it plays out for the next Hawaii trip for which I would definitely be going through KE. For reference, went through to try to book BOS-OGG for Sept '17. Had to play with the dates a lil bit to get 3 first class award seats but it was doable and at 45k miles each. More availability doing economy seats. So may take some work but will be well worth it when the time comes. And as reported in other threads, KE requires a separate Skypass account for each passenger but the miles can come from 1 account. They also ask to send in photo ID's for each person as well as proof of relationship. Very friendly people to deal with.
You might want to think about crediting the miles for those Delta flights to a KE Skypass account, rather than to your Delta Sky Miles account.
