FT newbie here. Sorry if there's a similar thread I haven't spotted in this forum - please merge if that's the case.


From last year's Accelerate (for new IHG members) I earned two free nights. I'm going to Miami for Christmas and New Year and decided to redeem the free nights at HI on Miami Beach and then IC in downtown.


On the IHG website my bookings are shown as free with no taxes charged.


On the app though, HI Miami Beach is shown as $100 nightly rate + $14 taxes, and IC shown as $50 nightly rate + $15 service charge + $6.50 taxes, even though both bookings are under "Accelerate Free Night" category.


Has anyone come across this before? Although the rates are still much cheaper than what they usually cost (for NYE especially), it's a bit of a shocker since I wasn't planning on paying for the rooms!
