It may:
1. put pressure on Newcastle, re holiday flights with families travelling north to save money
2. BA /IAG now having DUB to funnel traffic through from Scotland and North England, is IMO, not likely to see EDI as a HUB unfortunately.
3. BA is really London Airways and not particularly interested in developing/re-stating the regional hubs
4. likely see a far east carrier beginning direct flights from EDI
