Last couple of years in Asia, the following countries asked for IDs of all room occupants

- Singapore (visual inspection of ID)
- Tokyo (visual inspection of ID)
- Kuala Lumpur (photocopied ID)
- Mainland China (photocopied ID)
- Hong Kong (visual inspection of ID)
