I, like others, am disappointed at the removal of Ambassador welcome gifts and the less generous upgrades. On inquiry, I was told by the FDC that the drink and breakfast vouchers had been a promotion that had ended. I'm not sure why staff has been instructed to frame it that way, but the disingenuousness made it worse. I was also charged for water from the minibar and had to call to have the charge removed. The hotel itself is still quite nice, but I will likely try the LondonHouse next trip to the Windy City.
