Thinking about it...If I'm not mistaken, the upgrade waitlist never automatically got transferred to the airport waitlist up until 4-5 years ago IIRC. I don't remember the exact details, but I vaguely remember having to re-request upgrades at T-24h (or at the airport?)

I wonder whether those two issues are related.
I think it was the same time as eUpgrades came in, or just prior
