I still remember my corner suite which had not one but 2 chandeliers in the bathroom (and a swimming pool sized roman bath to complement the clawfoot tub). Had once a terrible suite at Imperial and the bigger suites at PH look stunning. Donīt think the Imperial is overly cheap. So with the rooms I doubt you get what you pay.
Beside this I agree that the Imperial is special and a good choice.
