The Imperial has some stunning suites but the rooms are rather ordinary ... you get what you pay for. I still remember my corner suite which had not one but 2 chandeliers in the bathroom (and a swimming pool sized roman bath to complement the clawfoot tub). Museum quality furnishings (though quite sparse, there was lots of open space in the lounge which could hold 40 people). The Bristol doesn't have suites like this (though their top-floor junior suites are atmospheric), and I suspect no other hotel in Vienna does (the Imperial was built as a private residence, not a hotel, originally, so it has a grander scale, though most of the rooms were the servants quarters ).
