Japan Airlines (JAL) announces that it will maintain no fuel surcharge on all international passenger tickets purchased between December 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017.

JAL sets fuel surcharge levels bimonthly based on the 2-month average price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel. The price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel during the two month period of August and September 2016 averaged US$54.24 per barrel, which accounted for 5,513 yen in the average exchange rate of 101.64 JPY/USD during the same period.
