In my mind, Costa Rica is not a beach destination, despite the popularity of Four Seasons and Andaz.
It's much more of an inland spot - that's where CR truly shines as a unique destination.
The beaches are so-so at best. Unless you come from a landlocked city/state, wouldn't bother going coastal here.
