In shirt breast pocket, Noise cancelling ear buds and iphone with current NY Times and Economist pre-loaded. The earbuds aren't as effective as headphones, but they are compact.

In seat back: Macbook Pro. If long flight with bad IFE, add Apple DVD player attachment.
