My fare from the Hilton back to the airport was 40 AED.
Thanks for the info.
I am actually inclined to take the A1 bus as it has a stop right by Carrefour which is less than 250 meter to Hilton according to google map. The A1 runs every 30 min and the timetable says it is 30 min from T1/2/3 to Carrefour stop. The problem with taxi is the waiting line at the airport during the late night time when all the US flights coming in, can be very long, often a 20 to 30 min wait!
It is just quite difficult to find updated info on the Abu Dhabi public transportation info probably due to taxi is so cheap so everyone is just taking the taxi - but sometimes the public transportation could be more convenient - such that there is a No.54 bus going to the Mosque almost directly across a foot bridge with the least walk versus taxi arrival point and again with a long line when you leave.
