They technically owe you nothing AFAIK. It will come down to the generosity of the agent, but I would not assume anything nor get mad if they ask you to buy a new ticket.
Do you even know if there still is availability for a later flight, it's almost Christmas and BOS-DUB should see a good amount of ex-pat holiday travel?
I'm told there is still availability. I of course will not expect Aer Lingus to owe me anything, I'm just hoping if there is a seat they are not going to sell anyway that they may be kind. TBH it is now getting touch and go for the later flight as I'm still stuck in Denver.
