One justification (at least compared to LX or AF/KL) is far shorter distance and in many cases direct flights vs. long connections to Asia. Two long flights in a row versus one long or one long plus one short do make a difference. (Obviously depending on whether you mean Asia as in Japan, China, Thailand, etc or whether you mean India or Turkey.
