I did this, and it was exactly as you described. To the penny. It was perfect, the drivers were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, etc.

The only problem I had the entire time in Hanoi was that several taxis refused to take me to my hotel (Sheraton) - from old town. I have no idea why, it's relatively far, in a decent part of town, etc. Any ideas why?
