Stop the world, I want to get off.
Is the OP joking? I realize there are some very pro AC lovers and some very pro AC haters, so if I may, I will comment as bipartisanly as possible.
AC's pods are fine. They are very similar to CX/EVA etc, and they are better than say the UA pods (haven't tried the Polaris product but by gut is telling me Polaris is OK pod wise).
But it all goes downhill from there. Anyone who thinks AC's food or service is amazing needs to fly a competitive product. It's "OK". I'll eat it, but it is far from food porn. I have never, not once, taken a photo of a meal from Air Canada. The food internationally is OK, but the stuff domestically is edible for my dog, one which I do not have.
AC's service is hit and miss, but it is far from consistent. AC's management tries to impart good customer service but for some reason it rarely trickles down. As much as I despise AC Rouge, the service is better on Rouge, where the FA's get paid less than on mainline.
For those of you who are truly satisfied with the overall product proposition, good for you. I hope you never fly another airline. AC gets my travel in Canada and in the United States, but internationally they rarely get my business. I'd rather do 3 hops internationally on other airlines than fly AC direct.
Good riddance. This post has actually made me even more mad at AC.
